  1. it is a quote widely quoted out of context of the play .....it never targeted the intelligence and ability of a soldier but their beliefs, dreams and inspirations to die for their country ... that romanticism of being a martyr while defending the liberty of their countrymen ... or the dream of returning home to their families and children shrouded in glory..... the reality of which is quiet contrary to the notion.... Also, the dialogue was delivered by a character who was himself a soldier(Captain Bluntschili)and is portrayed by Shaw as the wisest of all characters........who does not believe in giving his life for honor or all that stuff that 9/10 of the soldiers believe in and abandons the field of battle... obviously he considers himself as an exception

  2. i would rather like to ask you if at all u feel safer by putting your life in the hands of so called fools(9/10 soldiers) or the intelligent likes of captain Bluntschili or Gen Niazi

  4. I will not argue your comment, but this quote (9 out of 10 soldiers are donkey and the last one is head donkey is part of the soldier training in every army academy)
